About Francois' blog

Hi, I'm a technical researcher at the Citizen Lab and I will be blogging about tech tips and tricks to have a better, safer, more anonymous and uncensored Internet experience. This blog is intended for all Internet users, beginners and techies alike.

In my time at the Citizen Lab, I've come across countless technologies and methods to improve one's privacy, security, and anonymity on the Internet. Very often, these technologies and methods can be used for purposes that transcend their original objectives such as by-passing Internet censorship - the focus of our work here at the Citizen Lab. These range from the most complex and complicated proxy server systems to the easy and seamless little tweaks. I've had the chance to play around with, test and evaluate many of these methods and technologies. I hope to be able to convey some of my useful knowledge in an ad-hoc fashion using this blog. Enjoy!
